The event is covered when it happens in your home There are other optional extras that you may wish to consider such as:

Accidental Damage

On most policies you can choose extended Accidental Damage Insurance for your Buildings and/or Contents. This covers visible damage that has not been caused on purpose or inevitably.

Personal Possessions

This covers clothing, baggage and personal effects carried by you or your family. The items are insured in the home or when they are away from the home.

Home Emergency Cover

A Home Emergency is a sudden, unexpected event in your home that requires immediate action. This gives you access to an emergency 24 hour helpline who can assist with most emergencies and, if necessary, send out a qualified professional to complete any work. You are able to claim for the cost of a Home Emergency subject to terms and conditions (to an overall limit of £500 per claim and includes callout charge, material and labour costs of an appointed reputable contractor).

Legal Expenses Cover

This enables you to seek legal advice up to £50,000 subject to terms and conditions for unforeseen situations that could leave you out of pocket. For example, an employment dispute, injury claim and many more.
